Hello all,

After getting approval for sponsorship application in January 08, my parents have sent the PR application to New Delhi CIC office in March and recieved a letter with file no. in April.  On e-CAS it shows that the processing has started on April 3rd.  Any idea how long before the next step?  What would that be, just a medical/asking for more documents? Do parents get calls for interview?

On the letter my parents recieved with file number, it says that it may take upto 46 months for the processing.  Is that true?  Anybody recently been through the process in New Delhi office?  Please share your experience regarding New Delhi CIC office processing time for sponsored parents.

Thank you all.

1.  According to CIC http://tinyurl.com/2bucdj parental in Delhi is 5-33 months.
2.  There maybe an interview, especially if they have dependent children in the application over the age of 22 and are claiming they are in schooling full time.
3.  It depends on the parents occupation, if they were in Police, Military, Government Service, then the application time will stretch out.

Thanks for the quick reply PMM.

My parents are by themselves, retire (high school teacher) and financially dependent on me.  There is no dependent children.

Also, would it be possible/advisable to go through medical with out being asked for it by CIC (to save some time in processing)?
What I am also interested in knowing is if there is anybody out there who had parental processing recently completed for their parents under the same class from New Delhi (to get practical processing time frame).

Thanks

No you have to wait for Delhi to request the medical.  For actual processing times check trackitt  http://tinyurl.com/5c4kbs

Got the CAIPS today. They haven't touched the file since they received it back in March 2008. Very frustrating. The BF'd Date is July 2nd, 2008 which is now almost 4 months in past. And still no movement.

Sad to know Bhooman.  I understand that they are very busy, but they should also understand our pain too.

I wish all the best to you and to everyone else who have been waiting for something to happen.  Hopefuly one day we will be able to say "Finally!!!!we got it!!!"
