My docs reached in sept 2010.  I got married in dec 2010 & spouse docs reached FEB 2011.  In process since FEB 2011 and 2nd AOR also of FEB 2011.  So i should consider 16mths from sept 2010 or feb 2011?

damn! i must be dreaming...from afar! Shocked i asked the same question yesterday or the other day after visiting CIC's site when the processing time for London VO was 13 months only. reason for my curiosity was to verify the figure to be accurate and updated (and somehow wishes it to be) versus the hooohaaaa goin on lately about the 2 to 3 or more years of processing time.  now, to my surprise it was changed to 16 months! hahaha..each day it's getting tougher and tougher. our patience is being tested  Grin hmmmmm u think somebody from CIC is reading some of the posts here? Lips sealed

so when does this 16 months start? i fear that meaning of every statement may vary.... i long to know to the exact interpretation of "based on a complete application package".

i also read in another thread about an independent report or survey or whatever you may like to call it..that IMMIGRATION COSTS CANADA BILLIONS!!! Shocked. i suppose this is a riposte (not directly) to MY or some people's CRY here that "PRIVILEGE comes with a PRICE" when CIC released the enticing 6 to 12 months processing time resulting to influx of applications.

we have yet to live and see another day!

if you ask me what's the purpose of my post....ahhhhh  Wink just enjoying freedom of speech in this forum. good exercise that i am able to vent some of my frustrations in a nonviolent way. bonus plus is.... i guess, one way or another i am able to send accross a message to CIC.  Wink

i don't know about the others....i didn't get any letter. and i think we won't be getting any letter of sort, unless maybe...just maybe if we ask for it. see link below.  cic have updated the processing times only a couple of days ago (if i'm not mistaken).

I had gone through the website ... The timeline mentioned there is from the time LONDON office recived the application not from the time of 2nd AOR ...In the 2nd AOR its mentioned that any intimation will be recived within 8 - 12 months..... plz correct me if I am wrong....

well, that is what i wanted to verify.  if someone can enlighten us as to the exact interpretation of "BASED ON COMPLETE APPLICATION PACKAGE".

This could mean based on receipt of our full documents which is on or before the 120 days of 1st AOR or this could also mean based on receipt of all documents that satisfy all their requirements...i.e. if they requested for additional documents ....collating and submitting these additional documents is another  epoch to be marked.....hmmmm tricky ey!

Hi:
My question now is:

I sent my full doc on 23th of May 2010,to London office. Now, it's one year since that date. According to the new processing times for London;16 Mons, I have more 4 months to get the visa on my passport. Is that possible?? Will they finalize it in 4 months only??? please answer.

Thank you

Hi Louay,

Please remember the 16 months is the AVERAGE processing time only. Some applications will be finalised sooner that this, but others will take longer.

So although there is a chance your case will be finalised within 4 months there is no guarantee. Regrettably timescales are currently very uncertain for applications received between Feb2008 and June2010. They have said that some applicants may need to wait for up to 2 more years, although some will be finalised before then.

Sorry I cannot give you any more accurate details. Perhaps the visa targets for London will be revised on 1st July 2011 when the next set of MI comes out, and this may paint a clearer picture.

Wayne.
