processing time for work permit under LCP application sent in Riyadh

Hello guys.Thanks i've found this forum.
I have a problem regarding my application as caregiver. I submitted a complete application kit on May29,2011 but was returned to me on June 1,2011 due to incomplete documents. I resend my documents on June 4,2011 and until now I haven't heard any acknowledge or response regarding my application.Even all my original documents has not been returned to me yet. Accdg to cic website, it will took 6 months to process the application and we will be able to receive approval/refusal once they assessed the application. I'm having problem with it because my LMO will expire on aug 5,2011 and our employer is expecting us by the end of August 2011. but the problem is, until now I haven't received any response. is there any chance to know the status of my application? what is the best thing to do?

if your lmo is already with the canadian embassy in riyadh there's no problem with it just wait it takes time , a friend of mine submitted her application also in riyadh but her case was closed because her employer does not want to give back her passport for visa stamping its a waste of time and money, be sure you have no problem with your passport also.

thanks for the reply. I don't have any problem with my passport. I can get it anytime i want to from my employer. does it really just takes time to know if my application is approve or refused?

My friend in taif  recvd her approval letter from canadian consulate in riyadh after 6months. some applicants in ksa recvd a reply sooner than 6months.

you told me that your friend rcvd the approval after 6 months,my question is...how many more months he waited for him to get the working permit?

3 MONTHS after my friend received the approval letter her application for a work permit was cancelled by the Canadian Embassy in Riyadh for failing to submit additional needed requirements.like medical and passport. her employer did'nt approved her request for passport and travel to riyadh.
