Hi guys, no updates from my end. One of my friend just came back from Sri Lanka after visiting his wife and he told me it would take a year after submitting the application. He submitted in September 2010. He is hoping things will workout by September. It's just the time period you have to serve before getting the visa.

I think it works like that for some ppl. Bz some got visa with in 5-6 months. My friend knew few ppl who applied after us (Dec) and got visa in May.
Not sure how they decide who get visa when

Yes Watnxt. I remember you and sharmi telling me couple of weeks ago. I think there is a cut off date; new and old applicant. I met someone last night at a party, he told me he got married on March 19 of 2010 and his wife came here in September 2010. He stayed there for 2 months after the wedding. He came here in May, submitted the application in June and she came here in September. That's like 4 months. Processing time was amended to 14-16 months, I believe in September. That is when many of us applied.

Yes, I applied in Oct.
I also suspect there is something else also in the game. May be all of our applications fall under same catogary (delaying) while others go into regular. Bz I am keep hearing that many ppl who applied after us already got visa. It wasn't just one or two... many of them got the visa.
Do you know when is ur friend's med expire? It looks like they dont care about med expirey date any more.

We are going to submit new PC next week and see if we get any update. Sick of waiting.

Already applied for one. Hope to get by end of this week so we can give it out next week.
Yeah mon, I am sick of this one too. My friend applied in Feb and he is hoping to get visa by Oct (in 6 month). He said all of his friends got with in 6 month.

i think we're cursed or something for us to not get it. i don't understand what wrong doing has be done in the past by me and my husband so suffer so greatly.

I felt same thing Mel. My wife was crying for more than 40min yesterday. It hurts her alot when ppl asking so many questions and comparing with others who applied after us and got visa already.
For me, I spend alot time with work. And I dont see much ppl here every day. But she does.
I couldn't peace out her...dont have words...I hate this system.
