Hubby went to apply for visitor visa today. No luck on anything else. When he asked in the past they said it was in process. They said the samething again. So not a lot has changed really. If the meds expire, we are gonna wait it out and redo them. No other option really..

Sill I am expecting good news for Mell and Dhana this week. I heard many ppl got PPR just few days before med expires. Hope for the best.

hey guys, how are u all doing? still no update on my side,... still waiting. my husbands meds expire next month. I got in contact with the area MP, and his assitant spoke to the CIC in colombo and ask abt my status, they are still looking at my file and will contact us, so lets hope they issue the visa soon.

I hope MP's request will help you. My friend told me that MP helped him to find out when they will give the visa. They gave some month/date to MP and then his wife got the visa just week before that date.
Is it the first time you are going through MP? Or u did early?

watnext, this is the second time im going thru with the mp, first was with the liberals and they didnt help at all. now its the conservatives. They are giving me quick responses. so im hoping they will atleast tell me the date they will issue the visa, i have my fingers crossed. why dont u guys give it a try as well with ur area MP?? just email them, thats what i did. |

I directly email to embassy 2 times and my wife visited 2 times so far. No improvment. I am scared to take any action now. However, I will do it next month since my med expires following month. If med expires...then i may need to wait for few months to get visa.

Hmmmm... Everybody is having a horrid time with the embassy. Agggghhhhh so so annoying. I have just given up totally.. Yes I like russle peters too! He's very very funny..

Mel, Sharmi said her friend went to embassy 5 times with in 5 months and she got visa last month. Still I am scared to send my wife embassy again, 3rd time.

I called him and he said it is not good idea to keep bugging them. He said may be we can write embassy a letter. I am going to wait for this month and write letter next month.

ahhh my lawyer said something along the same lines.. we are hoping are application for the visitor visa is going to be our form of communication with them.. next week i will know for sure..
