Hi there, I wanted to know if anyone has any idea or experience on how long the Chilean visa office takes to process spousal applications.  I am sponsoring my husband who lives in Chile while I live in Toronto.  I sent the application to the office in Mississauga on Feb 2011 and was approved right away.  The application was then sent to Chile which they received in March 2011.  We are still waiting for some kind of response on whether he will be approved or not.  I've tried to call the embassy in Chile but they say they can't give out any information and to communicate with them through email or fax.  I sent them an email about a month ago and I'm still waiting for a response back. Sad

I have my client id which I check the status of the application everyday sometimes 2x and it always says the same thing...APPLICATION RECEIVED.  I know the website says it takes approx. 11 months but I was hoping it would take less time than that.

I also wanted to know if his visa is approved, are we both notified by mail because he doesn't have a mailing address.

I'll be visiting him in October for a month so I'm hoping he can come back with me  Cheesy

I'm curious to know if there is anyone else who is going through the same thing.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated...thanks!!

Thanks for the response...

I put his home address as his mailing address but after I sent the application we remembered that he doesn't receive mail because of where he lives.  Mail doesn't reach there Sad

I'm hoping they send any correspondence to me here in Toronto as well or to my email address.

We also put his email address but that's also no good because his hotmail account got cancelled.  No idea why but he did receive alot of virus' to that account.
