Thank you for the swift response Shahi.

I do know basic French but should I get certified to prove it so I can go through the Quebec program?

I spoke to one representative from an agency and he advised me to go through the Federal program, however I heard that applications for immigration for registered nurses (I am a registered nurse) might close soon, so what do you think?

Thank you for your time once again.

The application for Registered Nurses is expected to close soon. But that's just for those without arranged employment. The last time I checked, there are about 800 RN applicants that are being processed right now, so 200 more before they close it.

I am a registered nurse myself. I applied through Quebec. But I have no news yet regarding my application.

Hi,
I want to send my application for Quebec Immigration.
But I have very little knowledge/skills for french language. I have just joined Alliance Fraincose classes few days back for initial level of A1 Level.

My query is that: What should I mention in application of CSQ for my knowledge of french.(Q-11)
Should I tick on beginner's level?
Do they require any proof for this? because I have not taken any test for french level, as I am at very amateur level.

As for english language skills, I took IELTS test and overall band is 7.

Kindly advice.

If u go by normal standards..it takes around 18 months to reach B1...of course individual hard work can shorten that...interview comes in abt 8-9 months...try n get atleast A2 level..!!

Kabayan,

Your application is kinda slow for someone who is under the priority list. I'm also wondering if this would be the same here at HK BIQ. Looks like they're kinda slow during the holidays. I've just sent my application a week ago. I'm wondering when I'll receive my AOR. Have you received yours already?

Cheers!

Solokru,

I just received my AOR, so I'm waiting for the interview date now or whatever the next step is. I also wondered about that, I thought nurses are on priority list. I applied through their Montreal office.

nmdgreen,

I've read somewhere that Quebec Immigration's estimated time for processing for a CSQ would be around 2-3 months if you're in the priority list. That would mean 2-3 months after you received your first AOR right? Man I sure hope so. I'm also a nurse and I'm still here in the Philippines.

Anyways, I've been looking for other Filipinos who are applying for CSQ. I found a few but they just fell off the radar afterwards. No news from them if they ever got a CSQ. I hope to hear from you if ever you get a positive response. I don't speak fluent French but I'm starting to study it again. That's actually the part that I'm most concerned about the application.

Good luck to us though and I hope you get to post your experiences whenever you get your CSQ!

Cheers!
