hi guys. i sent my application Feb 2011 and received a letter of confirmation March 2011.  I have just received a letter from the embassy yesterday, Nov 5, inviting me for a S.P.E.A.K. test. I would just like to ask if such invitation means that my application is being processed already? and is it true that after passing the test, the next step would be the medical exam then approval of work permit?

i am new here, btw. hope to read kind and informative responses. thanks! Smiley

No, they want to see if you pass the SPEAK before processing the application.  12-18 months for LCP in Manila.

thanks for that helpful info PMM. so does that mean the 12-18 months processing time would start only after I take the SPEAK test? I thought the processing time has already been running since i received the AOR?
