Processing in Delhi office, delays

Hi,

My application is under process from 23Apr2008 in Delhi office (India). I had been told by the senior members of this forum that it is perfectly ok 'not' to hear from them for the next 2 to 3 months. My concerns:

1. Is there anyone who has recieved communication from the Visa office whose application started being processed after 23Apr2008?

2. I dont understand why it took so long to start my application process, because my application reached Delhi in the first week of March. 7 weeks to even begin the processing?!!

3. In the CAS, do visa office update diligently if they have sent me any kind of communication? Or if they are reveiwing my medical's etc?

4. I wonder which postal system the visa office uses, I hope it is not the regular post where chances of the mail getting misplaced are good. Is it some kind of a courier?
