I am really confused about how they process inland applications.

I submitted my inland PR application in April this year and I was wondering if they already started processing it, so I called the call center. The call center agent told me they are opening application received up to 25 November, 2009, so probably mine is still in a box and I can expect first stage approval by December.

So if they are still opening application from last November, they will open mine in Oct-Nov??

I tried using my client ID that I got from a visitor extension earlier, and I couldn't access it. So I don't really understand how it's all done Sad

If anyone has any good answers for this, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.

I think they mean that the applications sent in november  will get first stage of approval now(july 2010) while your april 2010 application will get first stage of approval if there are no complications in december 2010. i think having sent your application in april you will probably be able to see it online these days(when they will start processing it)Good luck!

It's currently taking 7-8 months for applications received by CPC-Vegreville to be opened for review.  They are currently assessing for first stage approval spousal applications received through November 26, 2009.  So if you submitted your inland application in April, you can expect them to open it and start to assess it for first stage approval sometime around Nov-Dec 2010.  If you're approved for first stage you'll receive your new status document and then they'll begin the second stage.  Second stage takes from 6-12 months to be finalized and then, hopefully, you'll be a permanent resident.

Then why do some people get their visitor status extended and their Ecas "in process" updated after 2-3 months, if their application is not opened for review until 6-7-8 moths? Still not clear on this.

I have send mine in June 2010, and still didn't hear anything from them. I wonder if they send any other mails or just approval.

Thanks.

If you sent it in June 2010, you won't be hearing anything for at least 1 more month, since CPC are working on app. received on May 16, 2010.
