Background: I independently applied for permanent canadian immigration at new delhi around 18 months back, for myself and my wife (under skilled worker category). We have recently been blessed by a daughter and I want to get the family composition updated in the records available with the canadian embassy.

Questions:
-- Can anyone provide me an information regarding what is the process for notifying a change in family composition? What documents shall I provide them?

-- Will there be any effect of getting the information updated on the processing period of my case?

-- Is there any email address where I can communicate with canadian embassy regarding changes in my file?

Thanks in anticipation!

Congratulations!

You should submit the change in writing - not email.  Notify them immediately that your daughter has arrived and that you will follow-up with other paperwork such as a birth certificate, passport, etc. as soon as it's available.  Make sure to include your case number so there's no confusion.

If they haven't sent you the initial assessment, then it won't have any effect on the timing of your application.

1,  You have to amend your and wifes IMM008 to show the child, amend the IMM5406 to include the child, a copy of the birth photos and the fee.

Thanks for the valuable information. Based on your response, I have a couple of more question:

-- For ammending IMM008, do I only need to include "Details of Family Members" page or both the pages? Also,

-- Do I need to stick the photographs of myself and my wife on the page again? Are those photographs required to be from the similar set of six photographs provided as a part of application sent earlier?

Photos in an envelope unless the instructions are different from the office where you are applying.
Just photos of the child

Hi Mohit

You need to send complete form with updated family information, send them passport copy of baby and birth certificate, and photos of baby. Send everything by courier.
