I submitted my application last may 2010 and I received my 1st notice last Oct 5 2010 I got married last Dec 2010. Now my problem is Do I need to add $550 for the application fee? she has a Computer Science degree and would add some points to our application.

Question is:

1. What if she will not accompany me immediately, and I put a check that she would not accompany me on the application form would I still get some 4 extra points for her degree?

thanks for replying

Hi,

If you add her in the application then you will have to pay $550 and you will get the points for her qualification. If you dont add her you dont need to pay $550 fee and you will also not get any points for her qualification. You need to inform the visa office about your marriage and you will also need to give a reason why you dont want your wife to accompany you in Canada. Remember wheather you add her or not you will need to show the POF for two people.

Agreed with Saki. You have also to submit the marriage certificate, her papers like education, travel documents copies and ID's...etc

Much better to declare that you are married and the best is include her in your application.. According to some of our friends on canada, couple is the best to immigrate. You can do more savings compare to a single person. Logic is the other one is free for rental, rental in canada is very very expensive.
