Oh i'm so frustrated!

My MP's assistant found out that Buffalo is preparing a request for additional medical info (or something like that) so she called me confused because our notes show that the medicals are there.  I phoned the Ottawa Medical office place and they assured me that my husband's medical was clear and downloaded by Buffalo on Feb 1, his daughters was clear and downloaded on Jan 31.  She cannot see ANY reason why they'd be sending me a request.

My MP's office has sent an e-mail directly to Buffalo to find out what is going on, and the Medical office has given me a phone number for my MP's office to call and inquire.

Can anyone give me some insight as to why Buffalo might be requesting medical info when our results were perfect and it is still within the 12 months?

Thanks

Hmm... I was just thinking.  We did the medicals in January but didn't send our application in until March.  Could that be part of the problem?  Buffalo didn't receive our application until May, but our medicals were sent to Buffalo four months prior... oh I hope it's as simple as them just looking for the IME#.

Anyone think this might be the issue?  Maybe?  argh!!

Doing the medicals months in advance is an ordinary trend among applicants, there isn't any reason for that to be an issue.  It would only be so if they had been 12 months old or more when you submitted the application.

You need to consider you and your family's medical histories, could there be anything that would necessitate additional medical checks?  Have you updated your file with additional information that included travel to any areas with medical issues?  I don't know, been anywhere where SARS or avian flu was a concern?

Thanks for your reply!

Actually no, my husband hasn't been anywhere other than Indianapolis and here in Alberta.

The ottawa Medical Services Branch said that they cleared their medicals and there was zero concerns. My hubby and his daughter passed with flying colours.  The office was VERY surprised and concerned that Buffalo would be asking for medical info at all since their assessment was so positive.

Well when we received our GCMS notes, it said, IME Status: Not Started, and everything else had been completed. I was concerned at the time, but everyone said, don't worry.

Now it kind of makes sense, I think there is a disconnect somewhere.... Buffalo received our medicals but somehow they're not with our file??  I just don't get it.
