i asked this question in other secntion but didnt  get  fruitful reply. hope some  seniors, PMM  could throw some light. i am really tensed right now.

i got Post graduate work permit after completion of B com,  for 6 month  ( i was eligible for 2 yrs but my was valid for 6 months so i only got 6 month work permit).  well i renew my passport later but  didnt renew my work permit and overstayed for 10 months. i left canada voluntarily, pretty much unnoticed.

Now i got a job in saskatchewan,  got SINP nomination and now i am applying for SINP work permit. does my previous overstay will have negative impact on my application?

usually visa officer assumes that previous overstay means this i will stay in canada as well. hence i have to prove that i will come back but  SINP nomination clearly suggests that i am planning to become a canadian P.R.

I tried to search a lot  regarding this issue on the net but seems like i am the first one with such issue.

i request you to all please  help me out if you have any sort of knowledge regarding this.  it will be great favor to me.

Thanks

I know someone from this forum who was denied a work permit in SK inspite of being a SINP nominee because he had an overstay history in the US so it could happen.  Still, never know if you don't try.

That decision should have been challenged with the Program Manager.  A provincial nominee is showing intent to permanently settle in Canada so the overstay should not have affected their work permit application.
