Is there any issue with this? Even though I have both in my possession?
We will be going to sort out a job -hopefully - my husband has an interview on Monday in London, ON.
However he is a green card holder in the US> When I landed I did it alone and they questioned his status  - when I reentered the US.

I obviously need to do the COPR/Passport at the CAN side.
Is it 'wrong' to just present my passprot card at the US ? (OUr kids also only have the card version).
We will be going for my nephew birthday party, and this sort of just worked with the dates (the interview).

I don't understand, are you landing or your husband? And you both have greens cards to USA?

I am US/Canadian PR, he is Canadian/US green card holder, the kid are both US and Canadian citizens.
I have already landed, but we are going up for nephews birthday but my husband (the canadian/US green card holder) happened to land a job interview at the same time.

I'm not worried about entering canada or even myself returning to US.
However as a green card holder in the US, crossing back, and when tehy see my Passport book with teh COPR may cause issue.
I wondered if there was anything 'wrong' with my using my Passport card at that crossing.

I think if you are both residents of both countries and both legally allowed to live in either country you shouldnt have any issues. If they ask any questions, you have the answers for them. What you're doing is perfectly exceptable.
I think you'll be fine and don't need to worry. Easier said than done. I know how stressful it can be crossing the border!

Well when I returned after landing - my husband stayed at the US border town as I crossed. The IO on the Americas side did ask his status but asked further why we were moving - he said he got that. It's just technically I guess he'd be having an intent to abandon his status here. I think it'll be fine as well - giving my passport card which is acceptable to travel by land between the borders and we were there to goto my nephews birthday.

As I understand it though I have to use my passport book to return to Canada and enter as a PR?

I think US citizens should always enter the US using US identification... My daughter is a dual citizen and this is what I remember being told... Passport card should suffice

Yeah, when you come back to canada you will show your passport and the COPR to re-enter canada.

I visited the US for vacation after landing, but before I got my PR card. It was fine, just showed my UK passport and my COPR at the canadian border and had no problem.

You should be fine coming into canada, and obviously your husband will be fine coming in. Going back to US will be fine for you and if your husband has the greencard he will be ok too.

Are theres rules about abandoning greencard status or something? Is that why you're worried?

He will, when we do officially move. I was concerned they'd see my PR as an intent to abandon even though he has not yet technically moved outside of the US.

If you're really worried you could always cross the border seperately.

We will be in the same car Sad

However I think it will be fine.
I can put the passport book in our luggae and if it were not for the COPR need, I would never have brought the passport book anyhow.
