You could have the address in Canada for the PR card printed out... instead of having to say it you could just hand in the paper.  The IO never asked for any of the documents other than the COPR and the pp... and of course the address.  They just asked how much money we had but didn't bother to check.  They are just so quick.  We didn't have jewellery so nothing to say about that.

good luck!
best,

I was told by CBSA officer during my landing that they are not really concerned about good accompanying list (you can carry along whatever as declared in embarkation card) so you need to place them before the officer but you do need to produce goods to follow list with pictures of jeweleries and get them stamped as with 0 tax for future use......Thats just a sharing on my recent experience of landing. Bon Voyage

Why do we have to take  photographs? Is it mentioned on CIC website, if yes can you please provide the link. If we declared the number of items and their value wouldnt that be enough?
I have few paintings by some local artists which have some international value as well, should I take photographs of these as well.

Thanks Fariza for your inputs.
I will take the printout of the jeweleries. How do I put the 0 tax stamp on it ?
Please share the details on this ? What if I do not put the 0 tax stamp on the pics of jeweleries to follow ? What will happen ?

Sasif, I dont think this is mentioned anywhere in website.
This is just based on the experience of people who have landed in past.

I need help on this too:

1. I am taking bank statements from the US, is that ok?
2. Do we need to take educational and work related certificates?
3. Do we need photographs?

I will print out goods to carry list and goods to follow list

I will take COPR form sent by Canada consulate

Please let me know if bank statement from the US is OK.  Qorax did reply to me on this but now I can't find that message Sad

Also let me know whether we need to take work and educational certificates as well as photographs.

1. I remember from a post by Qorax that some of the US bank statements are considered if the bank has presence in Canada. Will try to dig that message and send out.
2. Its better to carry certificate as a precaution. You never know what IO will ask (especially if he/she had a fight at home Tongue)
3. Pics are again as precaution. Just in case. I am being prepared for the worst case.

Another question.
Is taking a printout on a normal A4 page enough ?
OR we should print it from Studio ?

Hi, Joshi, Smiley

Congratulation and good luck for landing. (Hope to see you in Toronto)
All documents are OK. no need for photographs.
Just clear and colour print out of jewellary will be OK.
follow list should have clear serial numbers (if any electronic items) and value in Canadian Dollar.

Good Luck
