Are you from Bangladesh? The validity is 15 years for Bangladeshis.

If you send IELTS earlier, you need not to send if you don't want to resubmit it actually.
-Just fill the 4 forms they required
-Photo for all the members
-Updated bank statements
-Any sort of update you have like Passport, address, National ID etc

Thanks a lot Deva_Avik for your valuable suggestion .I hope this would be the right way to submit update info. and thanks classical beat also.

Hi deba_avik !
In Form IMM0008, there is "Intended Occupation" column, how did you fill it? I mean, should we fill our real plan? or it must have sth to do with our present NOC? i.e as I am a 4131, I'd better fill in some occupations relating to instructor, teacher? (though I'm intending to study to become a med.lab technician). Do you think VO will take this column serious?
Other members who are preparing, or had sent update docs, pls share!
Best

You should use the NOC under which you are applying.

Thanks a lot, deba_avik!

Your comment may be true with your NOC, but as far as I know, with my NOC 4131, the job prospect in Canada is quite bleak (not easy to land a job as instructor there). So, VO will probably see my case as impractical if I fill  "Intended Occupation" column with sth related to 4131.

Maybe they will favorably consider my case if I tell them my true plan, which is quite practical with my resources and Canada's present job market, don't you think so?  Smiley

Cheers!

The reason behind your application is just your current NOC, that's it. Practically what will you do after landing is not a fact, nobody will ask you to do the same job under occupation you applied or chosen as intended occupation. To my mind, they will not think it so critically. However, from the cases of my acquaintances, everyone has selected their intended occupation under which s/he applied. Definitely, your argument has a sense, the more demanded occupation, the more chance to establish swiftly. Let me allow time to discuss with some other experts again and will let you know accordingly.
Thanks

Hello friend,

Please find  Qorax's comment about it, hope it will help you to take decision:

Dear Captain Qorax,
In the form IMM0008, there is an option. Your intended occupation. If anyone writes an occupation which is demanded in Canada rather than selecting the occupation under which he applied, how will the Visa officer treat it? Please comment.

Regards,
deba_avik

Provided u have docs / trg / exp to match that.
U can't play around with CIC, did u think so?

Thank you for your commment, deba_avik and Captain Qorax!

I have no intention at all to play around with CIC or VO. I just want to make clear that, rather than filling "Your intended occupation" with sth relating to 4131, which I'm pretty sure is impractical (due to language barrier, credentials recognition, regulated occupation, jpb prospect, etc...  I've done some research, of course), should I fill in my real (and quite practical) plan? I have no docs, experience etc to match my intention now, but I'm intending to take training from start in a complete different field which I know is within my own resources and capability.  "Honesty is the best policy", right?

After all, I'm not sure about the purpose behind this "Your intended occupation" in form IMM0008. What on earth VO has to do with our plan after landing?  Do they probably evaluate our case by this "Your intended occupation" or not?

Good lucks !
