I submitted updated forms and documents during Jan 2010. Recently I did not receive any mails from SVO. I asked CAIPS report and expected to receive the same by the end of Feb. 2 weeks ago I sent updated POF and Travel History. My question is - should I send updated forms now with documents or better to wait for the CAIPS report? My IELTS taken during 2010.

I m Roy, applied on 3rd May, 2010 as a skilled worker. I ve sent my all doccuments on 20th september. My status is showing in process. But last week i ve got an email from Singapore VO requesting all of my updates. Actually i ve no major updates which can high up my points. But i m in some problems to fill up my forms. Suppose, Generic application form: i cant type my birth date properly. When i type number of day & month it shows 'nu'. I cant find out the reason. After completion when i press 'validate' no barcode is seen. Previously i ve shown FDR account for settlement fund & it was for 6 months only. After maturity, i ve broken it. Now i want to make a new FDR account. Will u give me any suggestion regarding this one? As i m a new one, pls help me about my problems.

Welcome, at first, in this gigantic forum.

No 1: In Generic Application Form, I see you should write year, month and day respectively otherwise you will not allow. Say your DOB is on 15 April 1985, write: 1985 04 15. Hope you will have no problem.
No 2: If you skip any mandatory section it can not be validated. So check carefully each and every section. Once its validated, you can find barcode number. Moreover you can save and preserve for future reference.
No 3: In this email for updates, they wanted 6 months bank statements. For any big deposit, you shall have to justify that the money is yours.

Hope those will work. If the things still remain ambiguous, just let us know again. BTW please add your NOC, timeline and other important notes in your profile.

When did you last send? Our appearance is subject to change. Photos are not valid after 6 months from the date they are taken. That's why we should send updated photograph. If you send photos and still they are valid, it is not mandatory to send them again. However, I feel its wise to send again.

If i make a FDR account now then i will not be able to show 6month's bank statement, in that case which ll b wise- savings account or FDR? Then how can i make a cover letter & serial of the pappers?? According to instruction, BAR code page should b kept in front? About Photographs- 5 or 6 copies??? My necessary details are: NOC-3112. Application received on 3 May, 2010. DOC requested on 13 Aug, 2010. DOC transferred to SGVO on 18 Aug,2010. From Dec,2010 status is showing In process. Pls let me know the solution of all.

1. Fund: Its not a matter whether you have balance in FDR or savings. Hope u maintain bank accounts, and they are asking to send all the bank statements maintained by you and your accompanying dependent over 18. You must show the fund is yours. For any big deposit, you must have to show the justifications.

2. Cover letter: Just write about the updates straight forwardly. Make a list of forms you are sending and the list of documents you are sending for updates.
About the barcode issue, yes, you have to place in the front.

3. Photograph: 6 copies of which write name, DOB and date of photo taken on the backside of the 5 photographs.

Ya, you should show 15 years validity. You need not to show the proof bcoz it has become a standard. However, for your convenience, the link is here:
