hiI have a friend who is a live-in caregiver with open permit, she gets pregnant before the expiration of her open permit this coming February 2012. The baby is due on January 2012. She is very much worried of her situation. Can she be able to renew the permit while she is on maternity leave? And also, her permanent residency is on the process, will her situation affect the processing of her documents?This live-in caregiver is in the family sponsorship program, the sponsored-family had already done with their medical and just waiting for the issuance of the immigrant visa to her husband and children. But the problem is, her boyfriend here in Canada is the father of the child in her womb, Would this scenario affect the whole process of their documents? I need your help by giving me answers to all my querries. Thanks.

u must renew ur OPW.. u can renew ur OWP while ure on a maternity leave
