First , i want to thank all of you for prayers , greetings and good wishes, and i also pray that the almight will reciprocate what he did for to all of you . As your all know i need information /advice , as many as i can possible get ; especially from those who landed before me . I am planning to land in january and wish to know the best way to present the proof of cash . My wife and i have an account with scotia bank in British Virgin Islands , and our bank cards both visa and mastercard are accessible in canada . However, we plan to walk with our bank statements , and have a small potion of the money in cash and the rest in bank draft. As a family of four we are required to have $20,600.00 . please advice us .
Secondly ,  my wife is a nurse but she is yet to be registered . i am wondering if she could get any unregulated  nursing job pending her registeration with CNO , and where can we possible search for such jobs.  I  have Associate Degree in health adminstration but no working  experience  on the field yet . However, i have worked with a petroluem company for 12yrs , doing clerical /adminstrative works . what are my employment options.  We all your advice .

Thanks and Godbless

Hi,

Here are the useful links of this discussion forum posted by Saki and quorax.  You can find some of the answers:

You need to carry funds for  settlement in Canada by way of Cash,Bank draft, Traveler's check -( split to Cash and DD or TC )

If you have a Scotia Bank account in Canada then your latest  bank statement could be considered at POE while landing, depending to the discretion of the officer. But your bank account is British Virgin Islands, which  will not be accepted as POF, even though you have master card  or visa card.

See what CIC require:
