Dear friends,

I am from Sri Lanka. I have applied for the PR under skill category. Completed documents have already sent to Canada through my agent in Sri Lanka. Do you know how long will it takes to get a FILE NUMBER?

Keep checking with you Bank regarding Encash of BD or CC....and from that date it will take around 30-45 days. In some cases  took moe than that. The CIO sends u an email.

Dear friend,

Thank you for the reply.

I have applied under NOC 2121 through Sri Lankan agent. My bank draft had en cashed on 22 of November 2011, however still waiting for the PER. I don't know why they keep holding??? 5 months will be complete after the application received date to mid January. Thank you again.

When did you apply? Draft encahsed means the draft to the CIO?

Dear friend,

I have sent my application and Bank draft on 11th of Aug 2011 and It reached by CIO on 18th. They have en cashed / realized the Bank draft on 22 of Nov 2011, according to the confirmation of the Local bank. I am nervous to waiting for my PER and it closes to 5 months time. Please advise me. Thanking you.

Then I think initial review is ok.

Why don't you contact the embassy in Colombo and get some update. What does your agent says?

Make sure your email and the postal services are in order
