Hi, i am on a closed WP in Canada since May 2009. I applied for PR under AEO in Jan 2011 and right now my file is in Buffalo, waiting for the file#. Something came up and now my employer wants me to move to India for business development. If i move to India, i will be moved under India pay rolls only. Can someone guide me:
How this is going to affect my application?
Can i transfer my file to India?
If i get a letter from my employer that if my PR approved while i am in India, i can have a job with this company in Canada, will this work?

Please let me know your opinion and experience, as i have to let then know my decision in a day or two!

If your AEO is endorsed by HRSDC/Service Canada you can continue your application at Buffalo VO. Your employer has to also give a letter stating indeterminate offer of employment & employee you upon your arrival in Canada.
Since you status will change to outside Canada, the above are required for further processing.

As regards transfer of file to New Delhi, I am not sure about that.... Pls. ask Qorax on this thread...

Hey Yukon,

I appreciate your info. I am in the Sales/Marketing as Manager. I guess my domain is approved by HSRDC. My file has been despatched to Buffalo on March 23rd from NS. Since then there is no update in my file. I asked my lawyer and per then it takes 6 months to even get a file number. My employer did give me a letter with indeterminate job offer as well. This was back in January. But now due to some changes in the company i am being asked to go and work from India for the same company. My question is, if i go to India, and my pay roll in India, can the file still continue here, as i would still be in the same company? If not can i transfer the file to India..?

I will go over the other link as well.

Thanks. I appreciate your time.
