Ok here is my story:

So i came to toronto in June 2005...stayed for 1-2 months then went back to my home country.

I came back in July 2010 and since then I am living in toronto.

CIC received my application for renewal of permanent resident card on July 27, 2010.

then started processing my application on January 19, 2011.

Transferred my application to the local CIC office(in toronto) on March 21, 2011.

after a few months I called CIC and got an update that it will take 6-9months at the local office and its been transferred there due to not meeting residency requirement so they will verify things.

Then a few months later i called them up again and they said its now 15 months.

And today I called them up and they said its increased to 18months.

I dont understand why they are increasing the time when its at the local office all the way from 6MONTHS to 18 MONTHS.

I want to visit my family back home but i even if I get the travel document there will be a chance of rejection and i wont be able to come back. I dont want to take that risk.

What should I do?

Waiting for the response,

Thanks in advance.

It is likely that your application for PR would be rejected... so withdraw your application and re-apply when you have 730 days of physical presence in the preceding 5 years.
