Hi guys,

finally I have received a letter from my agent that PR rejection reason is - they have only counted 1 yr of experience rather than 3 yrs of experience so only 64 points I have been made. They have also mentioned that I can file new application but could not change in current application either by adding or editing information.

I am wondering, do I get refund of my $550 PR fee? Am I eligible for that?

Plz reply.

Thanks for your help

Was the rejection communicated at CIO stage or after in process, if it was at CIO then yes then $550 will be refunded but if it was after the application started the processing then the $550 will not be refunded.

I have got file number and in rejection it shows that they have just calculated points and not minimum. Nothing else they have mentioned. Letter came from sydney and it shows that they have completed assessment.

Even at visa office, if the decision is made prior to going into process (i.e. their eligibility review) then a full refund of processing fees is given.

Once "In Process" and document background checks have started, then a processing fee refund is not given if the application is rejected as a result of unsatisfactory document checks, employment verification, medicals or security checks etc.

So the OP should definitely get a refund.
