Hi all,

According to the link below it mentions that processing time for existing PR is 122 calender days and (Working on applications received up to April 5, 2011), so does it mean that 122 days after April 5, so those applied on April 5 would receive reply around August 2011? is that correct?
Thanks.

It means they are processing applications received up to April 5 so if you had applied on April 6 or later, they would not have opened your application yet.  If they say the processing time is 122 days, that means that people who applied 122 days ago are getting their PR cards about now.

Those who have landed after 5th May 2011 do not panic since the current PR processing time is 140 days.
I rang this number +16139444000. Best to call on a Thursday or Friday.

Hi guys! i received a letter from CIC for an appointment notice regarding my "permanent resident card referral".

They require me to come with my passport, certification of permanent residence and photos. Also, it is said in the letter that I'm going to have an interview.

Do you have any idea guys on what is the interview all about?I'm so worried about it.

Thanks!

Leon, I was approved to sponsor my husband on Aug 5,does that mean we have to wait at least 122 days for PR or is it 46 business days for new PR's? Just wondering! Smiley

You were approved from Mississauga on Aug 5?  Then your file will go to Buffalo to be processed further.  See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp#west for processing times where Buffalo is 11 months currently for 80% of cases.  Hopefully, your case is among the faster and you might see his PR visa in 6 months or so.  Once he gets his PR visa and lands as a PR, he can go and apply for his SIN card, health care depending on where you live, get his drivers license etc. but to get the PR card from the time of landing is currently 46 business days, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp
