Hi,

The wife of  my relative landed in Canada yesterday ,10th Oct, on getting her PR Visa from New Delhi. They were married only in May 2008 in India and filed application.  It looks things are getting fast for some cases.

5 months is actually with in the timelines given.  7 weeks for sponsorship, 3 months in India.  The average for India is 4 months but 30% of cases are already processed by 2 months, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/05-fc-spouses.asp#asia
