Friends--

I see the following statement in the cic website- If you are applying to immigrate to Canada, you do not need to apply for a card using the process on this page. Your Permanent Resident Card will be issued to you as part of the immigration process.

Can anyone help me understand what does this mean? I am planning to enter Canada next week, but I am not clear about the PRC process for first timers. Any information is highly appreciated.
