PR Card Renewal for my mother - Urgent

Hi,
I appreciate if somebody will provide me information regarding renewal of PR card for my mother.
My mother landed in Canada in 2004 and stayed hardly for one month in Canada and came back to India.
She is an old lady 60 years old.She became sick most of the time after arrival from Canada and still under medical treatment now.
Her PR card will expire in November 2009.We are planning to take her back to Canada for better medical treatment.
Could you please advise me how she can renew her PR card as she has not completed her stay of 730 days in Canada.
Is there any way her PR card can be renewed.
Thanks,I appreciate

She would have to apply for permanent residency again since she does not meet the residency obligation.

She can try going back to Canada before the PR card expires. Some people have gotten away with it. If she gets in, she should sit tight and not try to renew the PR card for 2 years because then she can say she's lived in Canada for the last 730 days. If she doesn't get away with it, they will ask her to prove that she meets the residency requirements and let her in for 30 days and then she can try to apply under Humane and Compassionate reasons. If she's denied, she'll have to go back and apply for PR again or if one of her kids has PR, they can sponsor her but it will take a long time.
