I heard from a live-in caregiver friend today that the process to become a PR after 2 years of full time employment will soon be based on the total amount of hours worked and not 24 months? Does anyone know about this and if so, what the total amount of hours required is?

Hi,

I think this is still a proposal; here is the link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/releases/2009/2009-12-12.asp
