Hi All,

I have a quick questions I hope someone can help me with.

My partner (who has received his Visa) and I are currently living together abroad and were originally planning on returning to Canada (together) in August.

However, my partner has a potential job offer that begins before my current contract abroad expires.

Can he land in Canada while i'm still abroad (i'm a Canadian Citizen) or do I need to be in Canada (or at least with him at the boarder) when he lands.

Cheers,

He can absolutely land without you, as you are a returning citizen, you're not "landing" also.

Thanks Charlie D.

I was worried becasue I in the application I had to prove my intent to return to Canada and am 'responsible' for him. They obviously are trying to avoid having the PR immigrate to Canada while the sponsor continues to live abroad.

Hence the question about him being able to land while i'm still not back in Canada.

Cheers,

Maybe have him take proof with him that your contract will soon expire, and a copy of your plane ticket to Canada, just in case.
