I am not sure how this would work. They obviously haven't started processing your application at CIO so even if you send a letter and they open it, they wont be able to put an indicator along your name cause your name is not in the system. But then again i have heard of someone changing NOC at CIO. So maybe the best thing to do is to send them a mail now saying that you want to change visa office etc.
If that doesn't work and they ask you to submit to buffalo, the next best thing is to send your application to buffalo AND ask them to move it to delhi.
The last option is to let your current application expire and start all over again with Delhi as your visa office.
I don't know if any of the above will work or not or even whether they are good option. Perhaps others will suggest something.
Assuming PapmanIndia's question is answered, I would like grab the attention of both RupeshHari and MarkCan to get some clarity in my situation.
Probably you both have read that my application is being processed in CIO (hopefully). I recently realized that my visa is expiring in the next 10 months. Under the impression that the whole process would take under 10 months, I applied for Buffalo. Now, I would like to transfer my case to India. I do realize that its going to take couple months to get my case transferred if Buffalo is convince with my reason.
My question is, at what point or after what milestone would my case get transferred to India.
How would I request this transfer? When CIO sends me an AOR asking me to send the full documents to Buffalo, in my application to Buffalo, am I supposed to request for New Delhi, India and attach a explanation letter providing reasons as to why am I requesting for New Delhi?
Assuming I request Buffalo as mentioned in the above point, will they transfer the case to India when they send me the AOR?
Please help me understand. I think I made a big mistake by not choosing India during my first application to CIO. Hope I won't regret for it.
Thank you for your time.
