Hi,

My wife and I are permanent residents of Canada. Our baby was born after we became permanent residents. We are now moving for good to Canada in a couple of weeks.

Please let me know if there is any issue while entering Canada at the border? Would the IO create an issue when we say that we are going to apply for PR for the baby? Do we apply for any visa or the fact that she is a US born citizen is good enough for us to to be allowed inside the country.

What sort of family class sponsorship is suitable? Outland vs Inland.

I would be the sponsor. I understand that the sponsor cannot go out of Canada till the process is completed. Does it mean, that even the baby cannot leave Canada.

Please let me know.

Thanks

It would be an outland PR application - there is no such thing as an inland process for the sponsorship of a child, only for spouses.  The PR sponsor has to remain in Canada throughout the process - the outland applicant can't.

However, while going to Canada, would the IO create any issue at the border. Basically, there is intent to immigrate and not visit.

Also, outland application works fine with a Canadian address for the main applicant?

Apply for your child outland ,show the fees paid at the border and proof you have applied for the childs sponsorship, have the passport and both parents present and you should have no issues.

I thought the sponsor could submit the application only when inside Canada. At the point of going to Canada, my daughter will be going in as a visitor only, right?

Also, is there any advantage of doing Medicals in US as compare to Canada?

Also, is it fine to have a Canadian address for the applicant(my daughter) while submitting an outland application to Buffalo.

I contacted via email the CIC and as a US citizen child can enter Canada for 6 months as a visitor.
I would hope your application would be near completion at that point.

Yes you need to time it correctly, you pay the fees and submitt the app just before you leave the US so at the border they see fees paid and app sent,Mississauga wont get it that fast so by the time they get it and look at it you will already be here(understand).Timing is everything.

I will be leaving in a week or two and right now busy printing forms. I already have taken a lease in Canada from August and will use that address.

For the baby, while filling out the application form, it should be ok to put the Canadian address, right? I am doing an outland application, so would they be expecting a US address?

Also, I am planning to do medicals for baby here in US only. Is it a wise decision?

For the Sponsorship evaluation, there are three documents to be submitted.
Option C printout. I dont have this yet, since I am only just moving to Canada. Would there be any issue with this?
Employer letter - This I can manage to get.
Income stubs.
I understand that income requirement is not a criteria for dependent child, but then I guess I still have to furnish some income documents? Any advice?

the Canadian address is fine for everything.   As for medicals, I would wait until you are in Canada because they are cheaper here.

I don't know about the income stuff as there were different requirements for us because we filed in Quebec.   As far as I have read here, I think you just send everything that you can of the requested documents and a letter stating why you don't have Option C and you'll be fine.
