Hi guys!
my wife & I just got our immigrant visas stamped, and we're planning our first landing soon. I was wondering how long would it take to get the “PR card” after landing and providing a Canadian address? Are we supposed to collect it in person?
Would appreciate any advice.
Cheers!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!
It should take about 4 weeks & you can give your friends or family members address if you are not in Canada.........

Quite honestly, we're kind of confused at this stage. We didn't expect the whole process to be so quick. I applied under Federal Skilled Worker category, and after approx. 3 months of submitting “detailed papers” they sent us this letter, waiving off the interview, and asking for medicals.
So we did that, and here we go.... 3 weeks after that, we got the visa. Therefore, currently I am pretty undecided as to where to go, but I hope we'll figure it out in days to come. Hopefully, this forum would help!!

Regarding the PR card, the CIC website says that it has a new look now "for more security" and that all new PR residents will get the new PR card
