PR Card renewal Urgent Process

Hi,

I applied for PR card renewal in April 2008. CIC sent my file to local office which asked me to provide more documents. I hired a lawyer and replied to CIC. Now they have sent a letter on May 28, 2009 with information that my Case is approved and they sent the file to NS office to make my PR Card and i will be informed in 6 to 8 weeks.
I need to go to My native country to attend my Brother-in-Law's wedding. My family has already gone, and i initially gave up because my case was in process. But as now case is approved. And wedding is on 18th June and i can leave on 16th June if gets the card in a week. What do you suggest, should i send fax with Wedding invitation, Air ticket and request to make card send to my local office in a week and that i am willing to pay extra for urgent postage. will this work?
