I applied for a PR card renewal & left canada. I was short of 730 days. I was called for a interview by CIC to discuss my application. Since my PR card had expired I applied for a travel document outside canada to attend the CIC interview. But the embassy decided on my residency requirement & refused to issue me a travel document. I applied to Immigration Appeal division & they have set aside the embassy's decision & declared that I retain my PR status. I am still outside Canada. Will the IAD ask the CIC to issue me a new PR card or I have to apply for a new one? Please advise

Make a copy of the letter you got from Immigration Appeal saying you can keep your PR and give it to the embassy when you apply for another travel document.
