 Dear All,

I landed Canada a year ago and left it a month after without collecting my PR card. My wife then collected it few days after my departure and brought it down here where I am based at the moment.

My question is what will happen if I go back to Canada with my PR card. Would an immigration officer find out that I was not there in Canada when PR card was delivered because of the fact that it was not with me at the time of departure and that it gets swapped to record the departure ? this will also raise a question then who collected my PR card and also how it was delivered to me. Have my departure been recorded or not ?

Thanks for your help in advance..

NO there will be no concern regarding this.  Many people have the card mailed to them overseas when they had to leave Canada after the landing process.  It's a normal practice.  You have to be physically present in Canada 2 out of 5 years to maintain your status.
