Dear

By the grace of God, we have received all PRCs yesterday.

I have a query and need help of seniors for clearing my mind. What I have read on the official immigration website that PRC number needs to be Alpha numeric i.e. Two Alphabets and 10 digits. Below is the official word from Website;

“Permanent Resident Card number
Your "Permanent Resident Card" number is located in the top left corner on the back of your card. The "Permanent Resident Card" number will begin with two letters followed by 10 numbers. (Example: RA0302123456).

Check below link;
https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/redir.do?redir=id_num&lang=en&app=ecas\

Cards I have received carries only 7 digits i.e. AA0000000. Wondering whether this is change in standards of CHC or could be a possible mistake that I need to immediately take up with CHC.

Yes. There is an eight digit ID number 0000-0000 in front and PRC number on the back as AA0000000.

Thanks

I landed on 1st April 2011 in Toronto and stayed for two weeks only. Received PRCs on 23th May 2011 on the mailing address (in Canada) i shared at the time of landing. Effectively it took 40 days working days.
