Hi Guys,
I have just got premanent residence visa to Canada and I m working in UK rt now. I want to come to Canada(Toronto) for 2 weeks in July/Aug just to get PR card and return to UK. Is there any way I can get PR card quickly so that I can return to UK in time. I understand that application for PR card ,when I first arrive in Canada ,is made from the airport itself and PR card is sent to the address that  I provide within Canada. I believe that it takes a month to get the card  and if in case I have to leave Canada before I get the card, can anyone receive it on my behalf and post it to me outside the country ?
Please see the link below, is that a way to get PR card urgently.

Thanks in advance.

I had a friend you gave his friend's address to receive PR card. The friend forwarded the PR Card mail to him when he was outside Canada. The point is try to find someone who can mail you your card. That will save you airfare too.

Hi,

If there is any one who can help to send by courier it would be fine. Sending by mail is risky because in case it did'nt reach in you (?) then you have to see other alternative methods specified in the CIC website.

Hello,
I know this topic has not been posted in for a while but just trying my luck to see if someone would reply. I have the same issue that I have to get to Canada before february 2012. I plan on landing in Quebec in december 2011 but will have to leave in mid january 2012 to come back to my host country to have my daughter finish her school year. we will move permanently in June 2012. Just wanted to know if PR card could be mailed to me and also if the new immigrants could also apply for an urgent PR card?
Thanks.

These are some of your options:
1) Give Immigration Officer your friend's address and have your friend forward your PR card to you;
2) Tell Immigration Officers that your final move will be June 2012 and apply the PR card later.
