date of expiration is on front - 5 years. so if expirartion date is 16 oct 2016 then issue date would be 16 oct 2011 i finally got my PR card last friday!
Just wondering.. how do you know when the issuing date is? i dont see it in my card.

I'm just received visa yesterday and will land Vancouver within 2 weeks.
When I sent application ,I did payment 1040 CAD and is it including PR card application fee?
And how and when should I apply PR card ?

Yes it inclues the card, and no need to apply for it, when you land, the information and a copy of your COPR is sent to CPC-Sydney where your card will be issued to you. |

I landed just few days after you and I still don't have my pr card. My file has no problems (as per the call center) and its simply delayed. I will get some hope if you reply. Thanks in advance. |

there seem to have a bit of delay during our "batch" A lot of applicants who landed after us got their PR card way before us. In my case, there was a delay because they made a mistake with my landing date. I landed july 25 but instead, they wrote july 27. THis caused a lot of delays because they had to verify a lot of things. On the positive note, I did not have to do anything but wait. |

But only my PR card arrived last week...

Still waiting for mine, landed on 31 Aug. tried calling but CIC call centre doesn't accept VoIP calls so going through the foreign affairs and international trade Canada numbers - haven't got through yet but there's a funny little double click sound that makes me think I'm on a repeat but not getting through to anything lol gggrrrr
