Hi whiteapple, You are supposed to get your pr card around Oct 3rd, according to the cic website it takes 48 business days. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.aspWhy don't you contact the Call Centre to see if they've already sent out your pr card. I hope you will get your pr card soon :-) |

Waiting time for PR card is Changed Now according to the cic website it takes 41 business days.
Did any one get it who land in first week of August?

This is the exact same response I received as well when I checked up about my husbands card. They had no idea of why it wasn't done and said to call back by October 30th if we don't get the card. Maybe it's just a fluke? I don't know but I sure hope the wait ends soon.
Well when i called them exactly after 46 business days, the agent told me that card has been mailed out 2 days ago and i will get it by the end of week and i got it next day on 27th sept. |

I got everything ready but the only thing that I still don't have is the police record check. do you think that they will acept my application even if I don't have the police record certificate? can I explain to cic that as soon as I get it I mail it to them? do you think they will be ok with it?
my visa expires on december the 25th and I wont have the time to wait for it because I read that the process takes 3 or 4 months. so, what do you recomend me?

The agent told me the processing time is 48 days so I need to wait more, but I told him it's been changed and he had to check the process time.  (Thank you, jiyamano!!) Finally he checked my file and let me know that they mailed out my pr card today and I will get the card in about 2 to 5 business day. What a long journey it's been... good luck to you all!!! |

The regular CIC number. Can't remember the option but you will understand. Also please note that generally it takes 10-15 minutes to get to talk to a person. You will also need your client ID number, Canadian address, phone number and mother's maiden name. Yes they will ask for all of this info. I have so far called 4 times in the past month, every time I have to give all the above information along with my Full name, DOB and airport where I landed and when I landed. Good luck. |

that's good i'm sure you are happy about that..i guess we will just need to wait until the end of the month. Still no PR card yet well at least my hubbs OHIP kicked in yesterday so he can finally start using his health card. Hope the PR card is on it's way! |

Well, just called the call centre. It took them awhile to verify my info., after which they told me that the reason for the delay was because (apparently) the POE where I landed (Fortune, NL) did not enter in my landing info into the system the way they should have. She was a bit vague, but it just sounded like Fortune never entered some or all of my landing info properly, so the agents at the call centre were having trouble accessing it. Anyway, she said they've put through a request for information from Fortune and to get it straightened out, and that I should either receive my PR card within the next 10 business days OR that I should at least hear from them about its status by then. She said they may also contact me directly by phone after those 10 business days are up, just to make sure things have been cleared up by then. So, I guess we'll see...  |
