Hello there,

Could someone help me with these questions please? i have got my COPR and will be arriving shortly in Canada (Montreal) by air.

1)Could anyone share their landing experience at Montreal airport ?

My COPR & current PP's got my maiden sirname. I wish to use the married one once I'm in Canada.

2)What is the procedure for getting a PR card? Do I need to submit a separate application form at the airport to get the PR card given on the CIC website?
http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGLIsh/information/applications/guides/5445E3.asp

3) Do I need to submit a "legal change of name" document? My marrige certificate gives my maiden names.

4)Do I need to apply for SIN at the same time?

5)Am I required to submit any photographs at the immigration section at the airport?

I would greatly appreciate any help I can get.

Thank you very much
Lys.

So how exactly does this marriage come in?  Just a word of warning, if you applied as a single and then got married and are planning to sponsor your husband later, do not land as a single because it will prevent you from ever sponsoring him in the future.  In that case, it would be better to contact CIC or the visa office now, tell them about your marriage and name change and ask to add husband to the application.  It would delay you though.  If you did apply with your husband as a common law or your husband is already Canadian, then don't worry about it but do tell them at the airport when you land that you got married and changed your name.

You already sent them photos so they will use those for your PR card.
