We have just received our single-entry PR visas in our passport, and will land in June 2011.

My questions:

Do we have to fill in PR Card Application Forms and to hand them in to the immigration officer on arrival at the airport?  The PR Card Application Form as broadcasted CIC website is similar to the PR Visa form that we filled in at the beginning of our PR Visa application. The PR Card Application Form as broadcasted in CIC website requires you to fill in all the information (your education, occupation, addresses within 5 years, etc.) again which was given in the PR Visa Application Form that is yet very new and not changed in this short time.

Or is it an automatic process to issue PR cards for the new immigrants based on their information recorded in the system when the they land for the first time in Canada?

I appreciate the right advice.

Regards,

At time of first landing the person at Immigration desk will fill online form to apply for PR Card. There is no fee for this. You do not have to fill any paper form. You only need to carry Passport, COPR and funds (or proof of funds) and inform them the Canada address for mailing PR card. You also do not have to provide photos as they already have them in system. But it is a good idea to carry some photos matching their specification in case photo sent at time of filing PR application is not good.

Hi, you can mention the address of the hotel where you will be staying. Dont mention the name of the hotel, just the ADDRESS.
