Thank you guys especially max very much for those information! I just landed today, and got the inactive TB surveillance handout. It requires me to report to a public health authority within 30 days. (I'll share my landing experience in another thread when I get back home.)

I plan to go back to the US in two days, and move in in 2 years. It would give me a lot of trouble if I need to do the test soon. Based on max's experience, it seems that I can just call them, and maybe come back 2 years later to do the test. However, max did that a few years ago, and I'm not sure if I can do the same. I'll call the number listed in the handout to make sure today.

I just wonder if anyone recently has similar experience to share? Also, does anyone know if I can still get my PR card without doing the test? Thank you very much for your help!

hi all.. Max, thank you for sharing your experience.. I have a question though, i ws wondering why my pr applic ation went too slow, and no other communicatn with our embassy for 5mos now, i had tb last 2006 and had my treatment for 6mos but doctor said that the scar will remain even aftr d treatment, my dmp was also my doctor when i knew about my tb. We seek help of our mp 1wk ago, and their reply was my medical will expire 2012,80% chances of approval will be on october this yr, and my paper is on que for rvw,my passport was with the embassy for almost 5mos now. Why arent they asking for addtional exams if they're not satisfied, its really killing..

Hi!

I would like to ask if u received your PPR?  If you received, how many weeks from your medical exam, or to be specific how many weeks from date your MR received by the Embassy?   My husband has an inactive TB too. We had our meds last may 9-10, 2011 and MR received in may 17, but till now no PPR received yet.

During the meds exam no further exams were made, the DMP just asked his previous x-ray films for comparison, and the x-ray findings would be no significant change- it means there's no movement of his lungs (inactive).

Thanks.

hi dreamergirl,
ppr received last march22,2011 along with the ppr was AAF, sent the pp and AAF one day after. Medical Results received was updated last june 9, 2011. Then, one and a half after, ecas tracker updated, thought it was already dm, but when i checked, my address was removed but it still says the same "We have received your permanent residence application March 2, 2011. Medical results have been received" . It happened twice that my address has been removed then after 2days, it had shown again, then  2days after again, address was removed. weird scenario, or its just a system glitche.
