I'm waiting for my PPR. My PR was approved last December 01,2011 under Alberta Nominee Program under Family Stream. I'm currently living here in Nova Scotia for a year but I did live and work in Alberta for two years. Instead of going home I decided to work as a Contract worker here in Nova Scotia while waiting for my PR. I know that after my PPR I need to get my Confirmation of Permanent Residence, right? Do I really need to land in Alberta or can I get my Confirmation of PR in any US-Canada Border.
Thank you.

When you land, you should preferably land in AB or at the very least ready to convince the immigration officers at the border that you still fully intend to settle in AB.  If you land elsewhere and they do not believe you plan to settle in AB, they could refuse you your PR or they could allow it but report you to AINP for them to check up on you later.

When you applied through AINP, you signed a document stating that you intended to settle in AB.  This must be true at the time you applied as well as at the time you land.  If you land while no longer intending to settle in AB, that is misrepresentation and that can cost you your PR.
