I want to apply for Canadian PR as skilled worker. I am currently in USA and my wife is also in USA but she has overstayed her j1 visa.
Although she entered US legally but she become out of status within couple of months of her landing due  to invalid SEVIS. It has already been more than a year she has been out of status.
Can she apply as secondary applicant? Can we apply from USA?

I sincerely appriciate any information and suggestion.

Thanks.

as long as the PRINCIPAL applicant has a valid status of 1 yr. or more in the USA you can apply for Canadian PR. CIC does not care on the legal status of the dependent.

Yes I Agree with Todiefor the focus is on the main applicant not the spouse I have read many people on this forum that are out of status in the U S but immigrated to canada with no issues
