I am currently under a temporary work permit in Quebec. I will be applying for PR soon. Supposing I already submit my application at the Federal level - what happens if I get fired or quit my job and change my status to a student visa? Will I still be able to get my PR? Thank you so much in advance.

You have to inform your VO immediately. If you have claimed your PR application on the basis of the the last job then the the composition in terms of POF (as with ongoing job you don't have to show POF) would change and you will have to provide your own POF.

What if some who is outside Canada and he/she has lost or have quit the job during the process of immigration? What do we have to do in such a case? Does the PR process cease?

The VO HAS TO KNOW under all circumstances, whether it is a change of job, relocation, quitting, or losing a job.

If one has applied for PR taking the past job into consideration then Fresh POF statement that belongs to you and indpendent of the past job has to be send to VO without VO even asking for it.
