Hi guys,
Please help if you can: me and my common-law partner just got denied for FSW due to low points. Now we will try to apply with me as the principal applicant. I have a biology degree and currently work for a pharmaceutical company-have one year experience so far. We currently reside in the US.

Questions:
1. If i have arranged employment and apply for PR through the FSW program do I have to wait in the US for FSW decision or can I get a temporary work visa to start working in Canada and wait there for the decision? Because I know this application can take up to a year and half, if there is an employer ready to take me, how are they going to wait so long?

2. Is it better to go first on temporary work visa and apply for PR from Canada or vice versa? Which is faster?
3. If I get temporary work visa, can my spouse get a temporary work permit? (We plan to get married soon)

I have tried the self-assesment test and I get 65 points so if I have  arranged employment that will give me 80 points.

Thank you!
