Hi,

I have received a medical form and passed medicals 3 months ago. Three weeks after, the organization carrying out the medicals confirmed the Medicals were OK. In Internet my application still on status In Progress and there is no Medicals Received. I know after medicals, it usually takes 2-3 months to get Medicals Received and then PPR letter. Is this rule valid for Federal Skilled Worker program or only for Quebec and spouses ? What might be the reason for taking so long to get Medicals Received and then the letter ? I only visited foreign countries during vacation and never lived anywhere else, no other issues or problems... My Visa Office is Bucharest. Could be that the Visa office has exceeded the number of Visas /quota/ for the last year and now they are expecting more quota ?

Hi Smartstyle,

I'm in the same situation in some ways however we did our medicals at the end of June 2010 and so far there is no answer from our visa office (which is in Vienna) and our status is still in process. I called our doctor in September to confirm that at least our medicals have been received by the Vienna office and she immediately received a reply from them saying that our medicals are OK, they are currently working on the background checks. I applied in August 2009 so under the new fast track system.
I still have no idea what takes so much time....

Have you recently travel to the USA or other country outside EU ? Are you applying under FSW program ?
