PPR!!

Just got word...PPR has arrived and I will be sending passport to Buffalo shortly.

Does anyone know...

1. How long it will take them to send the passport back?
2. What do they actually put into the passport?
3. The request says I have to send the passport to them by 12/30. Is this also the dat I have to land by?

In any event...wow!

Congrats!!!

1. Check trackitt.com to see how long it took for others using Buffalo. I've "heard" 4 to 6 weeks.
2. A PR Visa stamp (sticker) containing all of your relevant information to CIC and CBSA (name, dob, file no., etc.)
3. No. You can't land until you get your passport back. There will be an expiry date on the visa. You must land before that date. It coincides with the validity of the medical.

Hi Eric,

So your request came from Buffalo and not from NYC or some other office? Did you receive this only by paper mail or also by email?

Hi Eric,

Just to give you an idea on my PPR and Return time line:

October 7, PPR via email
October 8, PP delivered to NYC Consulate (overnight delivery)
October 13, postmark on return envelope, from NYC Consulate. PP w/ affixed Canadian Visa & paperwork enclosed
October 21, envelope arrives at my Ontario Province residence

Should go pretty quick from here!
