You may be right regarding the QUOTA part. I have heard from many applicants, that the NY office wont issue any VISA until the end of 2010.
But dont loose hope.

Cheers..

I am not sure, but NY visa office, has pass the mark of number of applications to be processed for 2010.
This news is not confirmed, but a guess because they are not issuing visa's nowadays.

So what else the reason can be?

I cannot think of any reason beside the quota being full for 2010. So any guess that if Quota is the reason by january start i must receive the ppr again.

Every CHC has a yearly quota, u can rest assured of that. However, yours could be on hold for a security return as well.

But, nothing to worry. U'd receive your due shortly - could be even before that 60/90 days.

Buffalo issued a lot of visas in the family sponsorship category everyday of the week before Thanksgiving day, that was last week right?

But this week, I have read only a few.

I do hope they do not have a quota since I am also waiting for a passport request for over 2 months now.   Sad

maplelover,

My eCas is showing Decision Made but I haven't received the passports back yet.. I'm not sure if it is on hold due to the quote or if they have stamped and sent it out and pp is in the mail..

I was hoping to get the pp back in a week and it has been 16 days since they received my pp.. It's frustrating that NY visa office doesn't have anyway for us to reach them to check on the status either!!

Are you in the same boat?

Cheers,
A.

If the e-cas returns "DM" & your pps were sent -- it suggests that your visa/s have been stamped. U r out of the danger zone, if there was any that is.
